Venues and Food at our Parties
We offer three packages for our parties which include different venues and food choices as optional extras.
Venues
Our most frequently used venue is Burton Street. There are several different rooms available to use which allow for different types of parties and different numbers of party guests, which makes Burton Street a great, flexible choice. Situated in Hillsborough, it’s easily accessible by car, bus and tram.
We also use the catering staff at the Burton Street Cafe to provide the party food which is really convenient.
If you want a more central location, we use The Montgomery Theatre in the city centre. The rooms are great, large spaces for performing, but if you really wanted something special, you could book the stage. This is a great location with good access which means that it’s a good option to use outside caterers (such as Vittles Cafe) or to provide your own food, or even pop into one of the local shops for a few snacks.
We also use Vittles Cafe in Broomhill, which has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and offers lovely food. It’s a great environment for the children and also provides a nice place for the parents to stay and have a coffee and a cake while the party takes place
We have recently started to use Polycarps Church Hall in Malin Bridge which was perfect for our Narnia inspired party. It worked well for the children who came to the party as it was a local venue for them.
It was a reasonable space, not too big or too small and wasn't a typical looking Church Hall which enabled us to create the Narnia theme in more of a realistic atmosphere. We will be sure to use this venue for future children's parties.
Another recent venue we are hiring out for our children's parties is the Dobcroft Scout Hut in Millhouses. This is a great venue as it is situated in a lovely area, and a large space inside the venue to decorate with our themed decorations and use the majority of the space to provide our activities according to the themes.
For our parties at Burton Street, we use the Burton Street Cafe, which will provide individual party boxes with sandwiches, a drink and a couple of snacks such as home made cupcakes, crisps or yoghurt. Or the catering staff at Burton Street can put on buffet-style platters of sandwiches, cakes, crisps and other party snacks.
For most of our other venues where food is required, we use Vittles Cafe which, again, can provide individual boxes or sandwich platters. Vittles’ food is locally sourced and brilliant quality.
All of our food providers are very flexible and will tailor their food to your needs. They can replace cakes with fruit if you wanted a healthier option, or can make mini pizzas or wraps if you wanted something more substantial than sandwiches.
We also now offer birthday cakes from Fancie Cupcake from £20.00, and we can also include cupcake decorating with Fancie Cupcake as part of the party for an additional cost.
