Internship:
As part of this adventure we are running an internship programme for Brazilian young adults from deprived areas in the North of Brazil, Recife/Olinda. We will be giving them the opportunity to come and share their culture and train with A Mind Apart and are currently in the process of organising this and hope to have a small group of young adults here in 2012. The group will take part in a busy programme that will include performance and sports training from ourselves and a local football club. They will stay with us for upto 6 months and in that time will develop a performance piece that introduce young people in the North of England to the Nothern Brazilian culture. Through telling their story they will share their realities while learning the realities of the young people in the UK through their training.
We are currently looking for ways to fund this project and for local companies/businesses to offer sponsorship and support. This will be a great way for your company to support a social project where young people from deprived areas in the UK and Brazil will benefit.
