Frequently asked questions and more information

We gave Natasha some questions about the Children’s Parties, which could help you to decide about your choice or what kind of party you want to book.

Interviewer: Where does the idea come from to organize parties for children by A Mind Apart Theatre?

Natasha: The idea came from one of our students, asking if we could do it at her birthday party. She loved our classes so much she wanted us to come and play all of our favourite games at her birthday

I: Where are those events organized?

N: At venue of your choice, but these are some of the options:

 Ø  Montgomery Theatre- http://www.montgomerytheatre.org.uk/

  Ø  Burton Street Hall- http://www.burtonstreet.co.uk/eating-and-drinking/functions

  Ø  Vittles Cafe

I: How long do the parties last?

N: We recommend from one hour to one hour thirty, but if you want to include food maybe two hours or longer.

I: How many children can attend the parties?

 N: Maximum 25, minimum 5

I: What kind of things do they need to bring to the parties?

 N: Comfy, safe clothing.

I: What kind of food do you provide?

N: We have two options depending on the venue you decide:

Ø  Vittles Cafe

Ø  Burton Street cafe

1.      Sandwiches- tuna/egg mayo/cheese/Ham- on white bread (turners/roses bakers)

2.      Cakes- flapjack/shortbread squares -all homemade using local ingredients

3.      Fruit- seasonal- grapes/apples/melon/orange etc

4.      Healthy snacks- cucumber/carrot etc/or crisps

We also could change the food to fit your party such as Pumpkin Pasties at Harry Potter Party.

I: What do you do at the parties?

N: We deliver games and exercise based on the chosen theme, with most groups we aim to work towards a performance

We also sometimes do crafts and music activities.

For example our Monsters Vs Aliens party we dressed as the goverment and went in to the party enlisting the help of the Monsters to get rid of the Aliens, we made masks and did some anti-alien training and finally finshed with a chant.

I: Thank you very much for replying to our questions. I think your answers for those questions will be very helpful for all those people who aren’t sure what kind of party they would like for their child.
