Current work:
The Sheffield Colleges: We are working with the College to deliver part of their Foundation Learning qualification Step-Up. In partnership with them we are writing the assessments and delivering the Performing Arts modules for this qualification.
Sheffield City Council, Road Safety Department: We are working with the council to deliver a Theatre in Education Tour based around Road Safety. The performance uses Forum Theatre to explore the theme of friendship and what it means to lose a friend in a pedestrian road accident. The performance has specifically been devised and written to fit with the councils new marketing and publicity around this theme throughout Sheffield.
Redirection: Redirection is a project funded by South Yorkshire Police which works with young people in the deprived areas of Sheffield delivering the Arts Award in their chosen performing arts form. This project is run for ages 13 to 18, and uses mentors to support the young people in their work.
Future:Proof Framework: We are a regular provider on Sheffield's Future:Proof framework which delivers training to young people Not in Education, Employment and Training (NEETS). We currently offer a short course for all providers on this council led contract. The short course is aimed to work with learners already working on some form of personal development contract and develops confidence, self esteem, body language and confidence. providers are able to tailor each course to their learners needs.
